Well I think it’s about time those two polls came down, don’t you?
In the first poll, Which Upcoming Game Do You Want First? Unsurprisingly Pirate Empires took the #1 spot with 44% of the vote.
- Pirate Empires 44%
- Bachelor Fridge 25%
- Dungeon Assault 2 17%
- TerraPhoenix 2 14%
Only 25% of you were correct, however. With November coming up fast, Bachelor Fridge will be the first in the list to be released, with Dungeon Assault 2 and Pirate Empires sometime in early 2010, and no word yet on TerraPhoenix 2.
As for poll numero doso, when asked Most Anticipated Update? most of you answered: FunOrb Central, in fact 59% of you did.
- FunOrb Central: 59%
- Armies of Gielinor Update #3: 16%
- Forum Update: 9%
- Main Page Overhaul: 9%
- Hostile Spawn Expansion: 7%
Well, Hostile Spawn and the AoG Update #3 are coming out this year, hopefully alongside the forum update.
Welcome to the first annual Orbies, brought to you in part by Jagex, Planet FunOrb, and viewers like you. Read more…

The old poll has been removed, with a new one in its place.
It’s good to see that most of you have strong passwords, as you overwhelmingly didn’t have to change your passwords at the forced update. Unless you all pick the first option without reading the poll, in which case shame on you.
The next poll, I’d like to get a look at our average viewer’s orb points. I’ve been working on an achievement guide for a while now, if Jagex would STOP RELEASING NEW GAMES (Just kidding, don’t hurt me) I’ll have up at some point in the near future. I’m a noob, 7 thousand orb points.
The old poll was, without a doubt, old. It’s been over a month now since the Book of Cogs was released, and I’d like to get a view at another aspect of the community.
As you all know, Jagex forced players to change bad passwords. So my question is: Were you forced to change your password? Take the poll, or beware of the hax.
The previous poll has ended its long stand on the front page: We asked how you liked the new Funorb front page, and you overwhelmingly responded with your satisfaction, an almost 4:1 ratio of good to bad.
The next poll is up, asking about the book of cogs.
I’d also like to announce a to-be-renewed section of Planet FunOrb. I’ve been conceptualizing behind the scenes on different ways to keep Planet FunOrb active; and I would like to announce a few developmens:
- Every Sunday, I plan on releasing a new Opinio-Nation. For those of you who don’t know, Opinio-Nation is an editorial style column that I occaisionally publish based on a specific issue or topic popular at the time in the FunOrb community. For example, my last piece was on the Halloween achievements being a nice change from Runescape’s “Everyone can do it” approach.
- More Reviews: I know I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again: I’m still working on reviews.
- 2008 in Review: Best of various categories.
- More to come.
I would also like to apologize for the lack of content recently on Planet FunOrb. Here’s an idea of what I’ve been doing in my personal life:
- 35 hour weeks at work
- 8 polished pieces as a final exam in Creative Writing
- A ten page research paper for College English
I promise to spend more time on PFO now that the semester is over.
The next poll is up: What is your opinion on the new front page design on funorb.com?
New Features:
-Top 10 games list
-Expanded single and multiplayer games lists on the front page
-New forum features
The new poll is up. I’ve gotten pretty far behind in my reviews, and would like to know how well you think I’ve done with the current pieces:
What would you like to see in the reviews?
A few weeks ago, I started a new poll asking what gametype you would like to see more updates in. Here are the results:

I’ve added an archive page for the polls where they will be placed once they are no longer on the front page.
Don’t worry if you missed a poll! You will still be able to vote in previous polls after the results are tallied and it is taken off the front page. I’ve turned against my original decision to close the polls after they are taken off of the front page.
Just another way I’m trying to get the community more involved in Planet FunOrb. After this current poll, expect a poll asking what features you want added to this website.
