Upcoming Games

Multiplayer Games:

  • Unknown updates promised “On a regular basis”
  • Most multiplayer games will receive a prestige system, similar to that in Arcanists
  • Ratings will be receiving an update, creating a “ratchet system” where once your rating goes above a certain level, it cannot drop below it.

Single Player Games

  • Several will be receiving expansions for members
  • Most single player games will be made f2p
  • Word Games: Further word games are unlikely, due to the lackluster popularity of the current games.
  • There is frankly very little demand for these kinds of games any more.
    -Mod Raven

Achievements

  • All games are set to receive achievement updates. How many will vary from game to game.
  • Rating based achievements are no longer being used.

Updates

Arcanists

  1. Tournament Mode under consideration (Nothing set in stone)
  2. There is a graphics update to Arcanists planned, but Jagex is referring to it as more of a “rewrite”
  3. Arcanists will also receive a new league system, similar to that of Kickabout League.
  4. There is a large rework in the works for Arcanists.

Armies of Gielnor

We’re looking at equipment and the usage and costs generally at the moment. Our initial reaction was to simply give players more runes per game but on reflection that might be a little too simplistic. We knew this one would be a difficult topic to get right first time so we always expected that we might have to tweak matters. More news on this topic soon.
-Mod Korpz

A number of people were mentioning on another thread that they thought the cost of some trinkets weren’t quite reasonable; if we could hammer out some decisions on changes to be made in this thread, we can have a look at implementing them. We’re more looking at relative costs here, so perhaps the best idea might be to mention two trinkets and compare their cost and effectiveness.
-Mod Artifice

A recurring theme does seem to be that trinkets aren’t being used, because most players prefer to spend their runes purchasing prestige levels.
-Mod Artifice

One of the thoughts we’re toying with would be to make the skeleton an 8 point warrior as opposed to the 15 point Skirmisher it currently is. We think this might make Skeletons and Necromancers a bit more competitive in the early game.
-Mod Crispy

We’ve been revisiting some of the units during our development of the campaigns. One that is attracting our attention is the jade vine – it seems its current abilities make it well underused. So it occurred to us that you might like to weigh in.
-Mod Shade

Armies of Gielnor Update #3 (Unknown)

  • Fixed point battle mode – Choose your units before battle commences, with no way to teleport in backup.
  • More terrain types.
  • More structures with varied effects for your armies.
  • And of course, the one you’ve all been waiting for – More Gods and units. We’ll let you ponder over which ones we’ve chosen.
  • The first campaign will be available to free players, with the remaining two allocated for members.
  1. Armies of Gielinor Update #3 (Above)
  2. Zamorak Campaign
  3. Guthix Campaign
  4. Saradomin Campaign

Bouncedown

  • Ghosting Network Play under consideration

Brick A Brack

Deko Bloko

Hostile Spawn:

concept_2_full

Kickabout League

  • Female players will be added at some point in the future (Mod MarkG, July 16th)

Orb Defense:

  • Multiplayer Mode

Pixelate

  • More single/multi player levels confirmed.

Shattered Plans

StarCannon

TerraPhoenix

  • Expansion pack expected (Current game ends in “To Be Continued”)
  • Multiplayer Component in the works

Yes, Terra Phoenix is a big one for us and Bouncedown is certainly one of the game we are considering. There are potentially others as well but no firm plans are in place yet.

Torquing

Zombie Dawn (And Multi):

  • New achievements are planned, but have been put on hold until the coder finishes work on the Armies of Gielinor Single Player Campaign (Mod Korpz, July 10th)
  • There are plans for future Zombie Dawn map expansions.

Other:

Orb coins:

  • Orb Coins are now available for use in multiple items, although there will always be new music, wallpapers, and new in-game items coming in the future.
  • Mod Korpz stated in a Facebook Q&A that the orb coins updates are taking a low priority compared to other developments.

Main Page

  • Revamped. New main page, different for members, nonmembers, and guests
  • Gallery: more artwork needed
  • Skin selection; allowing access to the classic main page look.

Forum Update

  • New features, options, smilies, etc.
  • Avatar support
  • Runescape has already received this update, so it’s only a matter of time before FunOrb gains it as well.
  • Steel Sentinels will receive its own forum.

I’m getting sick of people saying this but Pirate lords will not be a persistent world game… If you clearly read the “Future Developments” thread you would have noticed that the comma would mean that they’re talking about a separate thing (else Pirate Lords would be a sporting fridge persistent world game!).

They were listing games not describing them.

Thank you Anonymous, your comments have been duly noted and the page has been revised.

I’ve also removed the Runescape themed game, and added in the game(s) hinted at with the wallpapers.

aog’s updates are taking too long to release and the game is now too repetitive so they should release new units at the same time as “trinket system” as i hardly think that is going to be a good enough addition to the game on its own….

however before i got bored i thought it was a good game.
